Civil War Ambrotype Theodore V. Nutting 6th New Hampshire Volunteers. This is a Civil War ambrotype of Theodore V Nutting, 6th New Hampshire Infantry. It is a sixth plate.
Id'd by the family. The id on the reverse is Private T. Some scratches in the image but displays well. Nutting enlisted on 10/14/1861 as a private. He was mustered into company A, 6th NH Infantry. Listed as a POW on 9/30/1864 at Poplar Springs Church, VA. Died of disease as a POW on 12/31/1864 at Salisbury NC. See the photos for more detail.But I also go to shows.
