Civil War Tintype Union Soldier with tinted American Flag 1/4 Plate

  

The image is housed in a full leatherette case. His buckle is upside down and very nicely tinted and the detail is fantastic in the image. Including a plume in his hat. There is a discoloration between the soldier's hat and the flag where it appears possibly some oil touched the surface of the image.

The image was restored and sealed by George Whitely in 2013. The history of the restoration is written on the back of the image. Please look at my other photographic auctions.
