Here is a CDV photo of Uriah Dowlar of the 110th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company H, with Philadelphia photographer's back mark. Original ink identification to back of photo. Includes typed research and plastic sleeve enclosing both. Ink stain to upper right of mat. Dowlar was taken prisoner-of-war on June 15, 1863 at Winchester, Virginia.
Later promoted to Corporal in December of 1863. He was wounded on May 5, 1864 at the Battle of Wilderness in Virginia. He served with the regiment from the beginning until the end, being discharged just prior to Appomattox for wounds received earlier.
