RARE 2nd US Dragoon Cavalry Civil War Soldier Tintype Armed 1/8th plate

  

Very Rare 1/8th plate tintype of a 2nd U. Wearing cavalry shell jacket with the orange tinting denoting Dragoons. The Dragoons were later designated Cavalry but most still wore the Dragoon jackets until they wore out or received their new yellow trimmed jackets. I bought a full plate tintype of an IDd 2nd U. This image came with it but it is not the same man that is in the full plate image.

Not sure who this trooper is, could be a family member of the idd trooper. Very rare to see images showing the Dragoon orange uniform piping.
