Sixth Plate Tintype of Civil War Soldier in Greatcoat Grouping (Eight Images)

  

This is a group of images that includes. 1 6th plate Tintype of a Civil War soldier in a greatcoat.

The clarity, brightness, and detail is outstanding. You can see the texture of the coat and shirt as well as the eagles on his buttons. It is housed in a split case with the image listed next.

2 6th plate Tintype of a civilian. The image is on the dark side. It may be the same individual as the soldier or a relative. The cushion has been removed from the case and this placed inside. 3 Two 9th plate tintypes of a male and female.

In a nice tight double thermoplastic case. 4 16th tintype of a man. The case and image are in poor condition. Case is broken and the image has flaking.

5 6th tintype of an elderly lady in a bonnet holding what appears to be a handkerchief. 6 Cabinet card of a young lady from a Chicago studio. 7 a copy of a man on thicker stock paper. All of these are unidentified. I have no information to say that any of these are related to any of the others.
