0528----1863 Civil War Lt Noah S. Miller CDV - 142nd PA Inf - Somerset County PA. Very nice original CDV identified as Lieut Noah S. Miller, of the 142nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. A resident of Jenner Twp.

The period pencil notation identifies him as "Lt" but he was eventually promoted to Captain in 1864. Born in 1837 and died in 1921.
