CIRCA 1860 - 1865 ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR ERA WOOD BOXED FULL SET OF 28 DOMINOES - ALL WOOD MADE IN OLD GREEN PAINTED WOOD BOX - NO LID. Very nice early Civil War era LIGHT GREEN painted wood box lacking sliding wood lid with a full contingent set of 28 separate early ALL WOOD dominos.

Not often does one find dominos made of ALL WOOD, as usually they are made of ebony on the bottom and combined. With a a white bone on the top. Using a light wood on top is not of the norm, and likely is even earlier than the more widespread and more commonly found ebony and white bone dominos found in the Civil War era domino kits. Has old string or sinue cord adding strength to the old wood box that has the old paint painted over it and over the boxes sides - but not on the bottom. All in all - with the old green - the domino box is very attractive.

Wood box measures 2 1/4" x 2" x 6 3/8 in size. One domino had an old split that caused the domino piece to separate into two pieces. They are part of the description.
