An original Civil War CDV photo chest view of a young officer with huge beard and showing his rank straps. The CDV mat has embossed stars surrounding the applied chestview image w imprint id J. Bemis Comes w service info- John Orlando Bemis, a Worcester Maccachusetts resident served with the 51st Mass Infantry in North Carolina, 1862-3, and with the 4th Mass Heavy Artillery, 1864-65, rising from the ranks to Captain. Minor edge wear, Overall VG, No photographer imprint.
