Civil War Armed CDV IDd Alden Downes 7th CT Vols SOLDIER w/ MUSKET & BAYONET. The soldier is identified on the back as Alden Downes who served in Company G. 7th Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. The soldier has a thick beard but this may be his enlistment photo since his uniform is clean and he is wearing the eagle breastplate. There is no photographers mark.
