Original CDV of a soldier taken by J. He is identified on the album page as "Uncle James Elder"..... I believe he was Lieutenant James A.

Elder (1834, Ohio - August 21, 1863, New Orleans). He died in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is buried at Clifton Union Cemetery, Miami Township, Ohio. The album page was loose, so it is included. CDV is about 4" x 2.5".
