Large Chalk Civil War NCO with Rare Colt M1855 Revolving Carbine & Saber Bayonet

  
For sale, a large framed full body chalk of a Civil War Union soldier with his rare. Colt Model 1855 Revolving Carbine and its full length saber bayonet. Soldier has a nice slouch hat with a visible black ostrich plume. Actual portrait size is 20" inches by 12.75" inches. Frame dimensions are approximately 24" inches by 18" inches. Custom frame made of a highly grained hard wood that is 5/8 inches thick. See last photo of the bubble glass protrusion from frame. Oval image has a blued background. Artist was very skilled as chalk portrait looks so real, could pass as a photo image from far away. Colt model 1855 revolving carbines were popular with specialized units like sharpshooters and artillery. Some photos show long scratches to glass but these are only anomalies. New bubble glass is perfect. Sorry about the reflections on glass.
