Original 6th plate daguerreotype, group of 11 men. So this image having been taken in the New Orleans area or in the state of Louisiana, is a possibility, and could be a clue in helping ID these men. But again, the location is not positively known. Use the hover/zoom feature for more detailed views of the mens' faces. Dag is unsealed in half of its original case.

Tarnish ring, abrasions and scratches, corrosion spot in the lower-right, all as shown. Also two or three light dings. Apparently it was without cover glass at some point. I placed a new piece of cover glass on; the mat is original to the image so far as I know.
