RARE CIVIL WAR DAGUERREOTYPE WITH OFFICER AND CHILD 1/4 PLATE DOUBLE ELLIPTICAL. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE 1864 CIVIL WAR PHOTO OF A UNION OFFICER WITH HIS DAUGHTER, HOLDING A HAT. I BELIEVE THAT THIS RANK INSIGNIA IS LT COLONEL. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS PERSON IS AND I DIDN'T TAKE THIS OUT OF THE CASE. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

OUTSIDE OF FRAME IS IT IS APPROXIMATELY 3 5/8 X 4 5/8 INCHES IN SIZE. FROM A PHOTO SIZE REFERENCE, I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A 1/4, BASED ON THE SIZES. TO THE EDGE OF THE SANDY MATTE IS APPROXIMATELY 2 7/8 X 3 7/8 INCHES. Good condition with marks, scratches and only half a case.
