Promoted Captain 12/61, moved to the Adjutant General's Dept in July of 62, promoted Major by brevet for Pea Ridge Ar, and Lt Colonel for Campbell's Station Tn. Autographed on the verso and comes with historical information on his career. He served with the Armies of the Southwest, Cumberland and Ohio.

Elected in the first class of the Loyal Legion of the US. Served on the staff of General James McPherson.
