Civil War U. S. Soldier Daguerreotype Photo GAR Grand Army of the Republic Medal

  
Both items are used and in great condition for their age. The Daguerreotype tintype photograph image has flecking coming off from the many years ago to date. However, this is simply a SUPERB two piece collection from a bygone page in United States history. The photograph is laid in a half Daguerreotype type photo case. The GAR medal is solid with the original pin-back attached.

The flag is wearing and worn, however, solidly attached to the medal. The soldier has a long gun with a handgun tucked into his waistband belt. Behind the soldier is a painted backdrop featuring a full-colored United States Flag. This scene also features a grazing horse, and another soldier. Please see the pictures of said item.
