Lovely Civil War Carte de Visite of an enlisted Union Soldier from Massachusetts. Photographed by Jenney and Ward's Photograph Rooms in New Bedford, our soldier sports an enlisted frock coat with reenlistment stripes on the cuffs - which tells us that he has already served out one full enlistment and had re-enlisted to finish out the war. Probably taken while home on leave.
