Civil War Soldier Ambrotype 1/9th Plate Wearing Battle Shirt Maybe Confederate

  

The viewable area of the photo as shown in the case measures 2" x 1.5". It shows a gentleman who looks to be wearing a battle shirt. Also a couple of local collectors were pretty sure it was Confederate.

The case measures 2.9" x 2.4" x 0.7. The case shows moderate wear and the case is splitting at the binding area (see pic 3). Please take a look at all of the pictures for condition.
