Please check my other items. I always have a nice variety of old things. Vintage Old 1865 Civil War Ulysses S. Grant Metal Relief Picture Bust Image. This piece should be in a museum, yet, here it is for you. The metal high relief image is in very good condition considering it is 150 plus years old. However, the coloring on the metal has faded in some areas, at least that is what I think (I say that because I do not know what kind of metal the image is made of and the appearance may be due to natural aging).

The image has the following along the bottom edge "J-POWELL-F-PATENTED 1865". The wood frame appears to be original.

The applied molded decorations on the frame have popped off in places and are gone. (a good restorer can remake these pieces and restore the frame if you are so inclined; personally, I like to keep antiques in their "as found" state). A piece of the wood backing on the frame is also missing.

The domed glass front has some paint specks on it. I suspect this to be a rare piece as there cannot be too many around, and additionally this still has the original 150 year old frame. Very few people will ever own one of these!

Size reference: the metal backing the image is approximately 10-3/4" diameter; the frame is approximately 15-1/2" diameter x 1-3/4 thick. The item "Vintage Old 1865 Civil War Ulysses S.
