He was the Legendary photographer that was contracted by Lincoln to photograph the Civil War. This photo is High Quality Restrike of a double-weight thickness that was made off the Original Brady Glass Plate in 1939. And because of such, the clarity is outstanding on this antique, Silver Gelatin photo.
The majority of Brady's work is all archived in The National Archives and The Library of Congress making his work IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. But to find one of Lincoln right before the Bloody Battle of Antietam during the Civil War would be PRICELESS!This image was shot in 1862 but printed in 1939. This photo was taken by Mathew Brady and was later Credited by "International News Photos". It measures 7.5 x 9.5 inches and is in Excellent Condition. There is a couple very small creases on this photo which are located one on each of the bottom two corners. By far the best photo of Lincoln I have ever come across.
