Original Civil War Confederate 1/9 Plate Ambrotype, hair, Cigar, with Full Case

  
Very unique image of a Confederate militia 1/9 plate ambrotype. The image comes housed in a very nice thermoplastic case with working clasp and hinges. The soldier wear an early kepi with some form of painted cloth cover. Pinned in the kepi is a secession flag pin, one of many used early in the war. Behind the image in the case was a lock of hair, possibly the soldiers?

Possibly a loved one of his? He looks very dapper with his tie and half smoked cigar, ready to fight for his state. Great piece to add to any image collection. Any questions please feel free to ask.
