Wonderful CIVIL War 6th Plate Tintype Of Two Federal Artillerymen

  

CIVIL WONDERFUL CIVIL WAR 6TH PLATE TINTYPE OF TWO FEDERAL ARTILLERYMEN! Sixth plate tintype of two Federal Artillerymen. The pair hail from the 9th regiment as evidenced by the numeral "9" which is pinned to the front of each member's hat. The pair stand side by side dressed in artillery shell jackets, trousers, and knee high boots.

Each man is armed with a saber , with one of the men displaying a large Colt Army across his chest. These men would hail from either Indiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, or Wisconsin. Unfortunately, they are not identified to know from which state they actually belonged.

This image comes with a beautiful thermoplastic case with an artillery motif of crossed cannons and cannon balls. The case is a brownish color in good condition with a small chip on the lower right front corner. There are various flea bite tiny nicks around the edges but overall a very presentable case. The image is very nice , it does have swirls throughout which may have been part of the developing of the image. Please study all photos as they are part of the description as to the condition.
