1865 photographer's copy tintype of what I believe was most likely a c. Notice the two abrasions near the bottom of the tintype... Clearly mat abrasions, so I believe that this tintype was originally cased, and considering its size, was likely housed in one of those "CDV-sized / 8th plate" cases that were pretty common during Civil War...
Now it's in this sleeve. Condition of the tintype is very good antique, or better. Light surface wear and/or grime, one little flaw down by the stock of the rifle, plus the mat abrasions mentioned above.
